Mission and Vision

 

MISSION

Our mission is to contribute to nursing education in order to provide for the highest quality of health care. To aid in the development of the whole person, including his/her professional role and his/her responsibility for health care of people in all walks of life. Also to provide and participate in programs representative of fundamental interests and concerns to nursing students.

 

VISION

Our vision is to actively function as Members of the Nursing Profession by:

  • providing direct input into standards of nursing education and influence the education process

  • influencing health care, nursing education, and practice through legislative activities as appropriate

  • promoting and encouraging participation in community affairs and activities towards health care and resolution of related social issues

  • representing nursing students to the consumer, to institutions, and other organizations

  • promoting and encouraging students' participation in interdisciplinary activities

  • promoting and encouraging recruitment efforts and educational opportunities regardless of a person's race, color, creed, national origin, ethnicity, age, gender, marital status, lifestyle, disability, or economic status

  • promoting and encouraging collaborative relationships with nursing and health related organizations

  • serving BC-SNA members as being a source of information, support, and encouragement regarding job search, state board licensure exams, and undergraduate/graduate education
